Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Low oil pressure!!!

Our 99 has low oil PSI only when its warm.

It reads 23PSI at idle and goes down to 18 PSI in gear, somtimes as low as 15.



In normal driving cond. it stays above 40PSI



And yes We are running a Fleetgaurd filter LF3959

Did you try using a gauge in the sensor hole to check to see if the sensor may be off ?
Next maybe some sluge in there , run a qt. of ATF for a coulple hundred miles before your next oil & filter change .

Use a mechanical gauge to compare. Not uncommon for a bad sender.

good advise above, the book says 25psi is the lowest @ idle, so there may be a blockage somewhere
