low P.S. fluid, should i flush and replace?????

Hope this is in the right forum! My 05 is low on P. S. fluid. Should I just go ahead and flush the fluid or just add, and what type should I use? The truck has only 36,000 on the clock. Thanks.

sounds like you have a leak... . i have never had to top off..... might want too check that... if not just top off... not enough miles

I would figure out where its going and then flush it. PS is one of the most neglected fluids on a vehicle.

As to what type ~ the correct fluid is ATF +4 (Chrysler stuff).

I am using Amsoil ATF in mine, it works a lot better when cold.
