I’ve got a 2008 ram 3500 srw, factory truck with service bed weighs 11,900
Issues started one morning going to a job, everything on the dash flickers and the truck stalled and would not start up.
I rolled off the side of highway hooked my scan tool to it and no communication and no fuel pump noise, ruled out ecm.
Ok, at the shop it gets a new ecm and and a check engine light. Fuel rail sensor and injector fault, they installed a new sensor and injector.
Picked the truck up from shop after hours and when I started it it sputtered then idled off normal.
4 miles from home it starts knocking, bad enough I could feel the thumping in the accelerator pedal….
Back to shop broken rocker bridge on hole they didn’t change injector??
Picked the truck up again and I have no high idle feature on steering wheel, and I’m getting multiple injector codes. And one morning I let it idle for 15 mins because it was cold out and the oil pressure dropped from 40psi to 25-30 psi, cut the truck off and restarted it and all normal. Low power and even worse mpg. It feels like something mechanically is weighing the truck down like I’m pulling a trailer yet nothing is behind me..
Mpgs average 11-12 on the lie screen , I also have black soot on my tail pipe tip that wasn’t there before.
