OK, I have just started to drive it. (Bought it wrecked and just got it done). I have never had a Dodge diesel, just PSD. I will try to describe what I am feeling. I checked throttle cable travel and it is opening all the way as far as pulling the pump linkages full back. So, what I feel is there seems to be a resistance feeling at about 1/4 throttle. The pedal has travel past this point but it ads no additional power. If I press the clutch in or in nuetral it will rev to 2900 and I also notice I dont feel this resisitance in the pedal travel anywhere. It seems as if something internal to the pump presents it under load. It truley drives as if it is only at 1/4 throttle as any additional throttle input past this "resistance" point adds not power in the additional 3/4 of the pedal travel. I noitice on rolling hills it losses speed at over 65 just pulling itself. I suspect it is something inside the pump functioning to "govern" fuel delivery.
