Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Low power

Truck threw p1693 and p0234. It seems to lack power in the top end. Would the p0234 cause the truck to defuel???? I am going to check the wastegate right now. Any help would be great... . and I have no guages.

Update. Went out and checked the waste gate. no idea if it is working properly. I cant move it either way???? Pulled the plug on the Map sensor and cleaned it. Code did not come back on. as before it would as soon as I start engine.

Arent those codes for the pump going bad? I tried the same thing on my wastegate, couldnt budge it.



I recently had my pump changed and a FASS 95 installed. Apperantly according to cummins my boost sensor was out so I had that replaced at the shop during the other install. According to the shop there is a new boost/map sensor that required a new wiring harness. Ever since getting the truck back it lost the umph it once had. It almost feels 25% off. No codes. Very unsatisfied with the power now. Was totally satisfied before the pump kicked the bucket.
