I am installing a 16 PSI Wastach fuel gauge on a 05 I have a banjo adapter from Geno's garage I am going to put the banjo adapter on to the low PSI in on the high PSI pump. I would like to know if it is ok to mount the sending unit for fuel gauge right to the pump on the engine on the low PSI in . Or will the sending unit go bad from the vibration of the engine or do I have to buy a hose and mount the sending unit in a remote spot on fire wall or some place.

Got to any auto parts store and get yourself and 18" grease gun hose to use for an isolator. The vibrations will eventually compromise the sending unit.

Not sure how much difference there is between an 04 and an 06. On mine I cut the hose from the filter to the CP3. Installed a "T" with hose barbs to reconnect the CP3 supply line and screwed the sender into the T. Used an electrical tie to a wiring harness above to support the sender. Be sure to have a ground wire from the sender to a ground connection to stop any interference with the signal. Have mine on for 4 years with no problem.
