Hello TDR community,

This is my first post here on the forum. A fellow Ram owner suggested I subscribe to TDR magazine/forum and I have found this place is a wealth of knowledge. I have searched the forum and unfortunately I have not been able to find a solution to my problem in the forum. If this has been discussed I apologize and if somebody could point me to that thread it would be greatly appreciated. Since I bought the truck (used, one owner) there is a fine vibration felt in the accelerator and in the seat at exactly 1000 rpm and just above. It doesn't matter how fast I am going. It disappears before and after that RPM range. I can sit stopped in neutral and accelerate the throttle to that point and feel and hold the throttle there to sustain the vibration. There is no audible symptoms, only a vibration in that range. Took it to the dealership and they basically told me sorry and that they couldn't find anything but acknowledged that there was a vibration. I am not sure if the motor is making something loose vibrate in that harmonic range. I checked the exhaust and it doesn't appear to be touching anything from what I can see. This is more of an annoyance cause every time the transmission shift it falls into that RPM range, more so when not in tow/haul. If anyone had some directions on what I should check or do I would greatly appreciate any input. I am very excited to be a part of TDR and hope to talk to ya'll soon. Forgot to mention everything is completely stock.

Those types of vibrations usually come back to injector balance. It doesn't take much difference, 2-3% on one injector, to introduce a vibration at a specific rpm. Might start with a cylinder contribution test and a rpm drop on a kill to see of there is anything obvious. The 6.7's have injector trim codes per injector, if those trim codes are entered wrong or not entered when an injector is swapped you the potential for injection balance issues.

Thanks for response! This would make since because before I bought the truck it had all new stock injectors put in. Maybe they didn't balance the injectors right. I really appreciate the response!
