I have been having a low vacum problem lately,,when very cold outside,,the ABS/brake warning light comes on,,,i know it's because of lack of vacum since when i switch between the different positions on the heater control,,it trips the ABS/brake lamp right away...

Would this be a bad brake booster or vacum pump.

It also cause a lack of brake at times,,especially when backing up.

I have heard of a auxiliary vacum supply kit from Dodge to correct this problem,,has anyone tried this or have any idea what may be causing this problem.

Thanks

The auxiallary kit from Dodge adds an extra vacum tank. the loss of vacum when using the brakes a lot like backing up is "normal" even if it sucks. An extra vacum tank from anything will work fine just add a tee in the line and hook it up. Check under the drivers battery for a bad vacum hose to the cruise servo as that is a chronic problem area.
