low volume cooling/heating

is it just me but do our heater fans suck. on high my fan blows as much as my buddys 85 chevy on low. don't get me wrong, its plenty of heat but just would like more power. I'm going to do the heaterbox mod tomorrow and clean it out. maybe after 200k it has some serious blocking

When I did my heater box mod. I found that it was about 75% blocked with pine needles and other junk. I cut a 4X4 inch hole about 8" from the kick panel and when I was done I used a piece of clear plactic to cover the hole. You can see the cover but not when you are driving. I liked the clear because you can see at a glance when the heater box needs cleaning again. Just be careful when you cut it due to the angle of the heater core - the closer you get to the center of your truck the closer the core gets to the heater housing. Yes I have noticed a marked difference in how well it heats and cools the trucks interior.
