Have a 2017 2500 4x4 and may be considering lowering the truck. Something that can be done? Are their "Kits" to do so?

Thanks,

Lowering the truck will only make it ride poorly. There is not enough bump travel before bottoming out for my taste as delivered. If you are just referring to the rear it can be done

My previous truck was a 2007 2500 2wd. The new one sits about 6" higher in the rear than the old one. Presently tow a travel trailer, but considering going back to a 5th wheel and that 6" may give me some issues.

Lowering the truck 6 inches is unrealistic.Worst case the 5th wheel trailers can get an axle flip to gain the clearance to bed needed

I had same issue with my 5th going from my 01 to a 17. I added a 2 inch sub frame to my trailer it ran me $750 for the work. I was then able to put on larger tires and wheels I went form 225/75/15 to 235/80/16 which gained me another 1.5 inches. Ther eis something out there called correcttrac which is to allow to align the trailer axles but it also gives about 2 inches of lift.
As far as lowering the truck on 17 3500 srw I looked at that and on my truck there is what appears to be a block made out of 4 or 5 plates. You might be able to take out a plate but as Bob mentioned I wouldn't take them all out due to the suspension travel. After doing what I did while I would like just another 1/2 inch or so I have been unwilling to try and remove one of those plates. I may just raise the hitch one whole and see how out of level it is at that point. I am level now just a bit short on bed rail clearance.

Thanks Barry...

Sounds like I will stick with a travel trailer for now...lol

I was asking Geno's garage about it and was offered a few possibilities. Replace springs with custom made springs, replace with springs from another model truck or cut them. They knew of no lowering kits for 4x4's.

There is not enough clearance to drop the front
