Lower control arm "broke"?

I have an 03 HD 4x4. At approx 48K miles the left front lower control arm broke and then the right front wheel bearing seized up. Of course it's out of warranty now, the local "dealer" wants $1600 to "fix" it. Anyone else suffer this anamoly, and if so, any recourse suggestions with Dodge?

Yes, they have control arms



I'd find someone who took them off for an upgrade or buy these.

Hard to say... . I don't really do any off road. Haul a 5th wheel on occassion.



I don't know if the wheel bearing went first then the control arm or vice versa. Anyway, a real bummer. Thanks for the link, I'll take a look.

Both of those fixes are something you could do yourself

The Carli stuff's a good way to go. He offers the Baja Race version and a more affordable one also.
