Seems as tho hard pulls with our 24 valvers frequently places EGT's near the outer limits - has anyone in this group installed a propane setup and noticed reduce EGT's along with the power advantage of the propane?

I use propane injection on my '91, but can't say I noticed any EGT reduction, tho power was increased significantly...

I have, I've noticed reduced EGT's while pulling heavy trailers with the Powershot 2000 propane system hooked up and working. Good for about an extra 10-15 mph uphill on the mountain, where without the propane, I'd be having to lift and slow down.

Keep in mind, I've tried it with the stock Hx40, and with Piers Hx40. And with a VanAaaken, Powermax 3 competition, DD3 injectors, all full on at the same time. Removing or adding the VA

while towing with all the other power stuff working, did nothing to hurt or help EGT's.

I like the reduced soot on my trailer. :D and the extra mpg helps. Stupid little BBQ tank sure runs out fast, though. :D

duh... that's what a night shift does for my reading ability... . thanks, Kat, I hadn't noticed Gary got a new truck... hey man, congrats on the new ride. KatDiesel is correct, the ETH trucks do not agree with the propane... .

My 2001 is an ETC 5 speed, not an ETH, so I played with the propane for awhile. Not a regular habit, as I HATE the inconvenience of getting refills. It also seems like twice the fuel cost. I only use it for pulling the RV trailer.
