Lower rear end of 1 Ton?

I got a new 1 Ton and it seems the rear end is much higher than my old 3/4 ton. Is there a way to drop the rear end or trim the spring mounts to lower the back end an inch or so? Is it worth the trouble? I tow a horse trailer and had to adjust the goose neck alot to make the trailer ride mostly level and don't have much clearence due to this. Any thought's or suggestions welcome.

just saw your post while searching. in case noone has told you yet, the factory has a tsb out that they will one time lower the rear of your truck by changing the blocks out for free.



this should get you closer to where you need to be.
