Archived Lower the rear end

I have a 5th wheel camper and would like to pull it level.

When it is hooked up I have about 3 inches clearance above the tailgate and about 5 inches clearance across from the hitch. I can raise the hitch to get more clearance, but I want to pull it level.

I noticed 2 spacers on top of the rear axle. What could happen if I removed them? It appears that they are there for clearance for bolt removal on the brakes for replacement.

I pulled mine, you will loose 1. 25" and the rear caliper comes off just fine without them in there.

What you can do is flip the axles to the bottom of the springs on your 5-er. That will lift the unit about 5 inches. works fine. I did this, along with many others I have seen. I,m about half a degree high on the front now.

Pull the spacers, the truck it too darn high anyway. And I wouldn't push the trailer up higher, just more windload you have to pull.
