Hello. One of my regular gripes with my new '19 is slamming my head on the low ceiling surrounding the sun roof.

Can we lower the seats and inch or two to alleviate this? This should help see the traffic lights without ducking as well.

I am only 6-1. Tall people must really hate this issue.

I would have avoided a sunroom, had I realized how much clearance is lost to it...

They are the power seats.

Thanks,

Dave

If b you have. The power seat you can lower it down. I hate how low the seat is I. my 2013. Even with the seat fully up it still feels low to me an I’m just sh of 6’

I was considering making a deal on a different truck and backed out due to the sunroof. It's really a piss poor design as I had much more headroom in my 02 VW Jetta with a sunroof. I'm 6'4".

You might be able to make a custom seat mount but I haven't seen anything commercially available.

power seat in the 2019 really doesn't go very low, at the lowest setting there isn't much headroom at 6'

I remember reading Patton's article years back about all the mods he would do an a brand new truck, and RAISING the seat, as he was short.

I need the opposite mod. I knew I had played all around with the power option before, but went through the motions again today, and unless I cream way forward, and lean back to compensate, my head is barely an inch below the lid; small bumps hurts if you park your sunglasses up there.

The only way that I've seen this done successfully is when you find an upholstery shop that makes and cuts their own seat cushions. You can have them trim the factory cushion down and reupholster it or you may have to just have them start from scratch and build a new seat cushion for you.
The first thought most people have is to cut the seat frame down but you open a whole new can of worms safety-wise, and finding someone to do it is nearly impossible due to the accident/seat breaking liability.

I'm pushing 6'3" and have zero issues with the seat at the lowest setting. BUT, I don't have a sunroof and my truck is a '16. I wondering/ hoping lowering the seat will fix this issue for you.
