LP or H2O/Meth?

They're Here!! 3rd Gen Valve Covers!!

Want Muffler...But No Drone

Which is a best for a daily driver/part-time tower?

I remember reading in a couple of TDR's back that propane may not be the best option because it advances timing and doesn't adjust the amount of LP fuel injected to coincide with the proper timing (or something to that effect). Therefore it was only safe up to about a 40hp increase. Anything over that was pushing it.

As for the water/meth. Isn't it used as just a temporary "boost" like nitro would be, where as the LP can be run constantly? I know the w/m causes cooler egts, which is a positive with upgraded fueling boxes.

What else?

Thanks

I was just on the snow performance site yesterday, they were saying for diesels there is a mpg improvement. I think they said 1. 6. I guess it depends on how much you accelerate.

Yeah, I guess if you set the turn on point to be real low in the boost, you could realize a mpg increase. however, most guys dont run the water meth until at least 15psi. I rarely ever see 15psi (never, actually) If Im striving for mileage!!!

I've contemplated the benifits though, of running a small (say 2 or 3gph) water injector low in the boost range (turn on around 6psi or so... ).

Im personally going with water meth over propane for a few reasons:

#1 its easier to get water, winshield wiper fluid, methanol, alcohol, etc easily (I. E. Walmart)

#2 the tank can be more easily mounted, and still allow full use of the bed if needed.

#3 the cost of water/meth systems are way less, and water is cheaper than propane. even WW fluid is cheaper than propane... .

I have the stage III so when its up and running I'll let you know if I can get more mpgs out of it. I would imagine that you would have to use it in conjunction with cruise control and a digital tach. I think its cheaper to go with the meth/water route. Windshield washer fluid is around 1. 59 a gallon probably much cheaper if you buy bulk or Costco.

Headshot,

You have Snow's stage 3?

so how does that work. Are 2 nozzles on a variable controller and one nozzle is on a pressure switch/solenoid setup? Or are all 3 on the variable controller?

Last week there was an ad in the wal-mart flyer for super tech 2000 WW fluid for 99cents a gallon. I believe super tech 2K is 38% meth...

I haven't gone the whole bag of stuff yet. Since it was too cold to install. I just picked up a 7. 75 stainless steel keg so I can use it with this kit. I partially installed the dashboard stuff. I've been a bit lazy since I have other maintenance stuff that needed to be addressed pronto.

I have the same keg that Im thinking about using also. I found a good source of thanks though, so I may go that route...
