Im considering adding a Holly Blue or Red to my 05.

The questions I have are does it require a drawstraw and if the stock LP goes out, would the Holly still supply fuel?

Thanks for the info.

Don't do the draw straw. You could end up with only using the top 3/4 of the tank. Sucking air at a 1/4 tank isn't good.

I didn't want the 1/4 issue or have to go to the liberty canister because of the draw straw. My understanding is the 05 intank lift pump has been fairly reliable. Don't know what kind of power your looking for, but I did 495 with stock system. Since then, what I ended up doing is going with GDP higher flowing components and pretty much changed out from the hardline coming from the tank all the way to the CP3.

Best way is bypass the stock LP and filter. You can do a secondary aftermarket pump, but it won't be any good if the stock pump gets weak or quits. Caterpillar makes a 2 mic filter and housing kit that you can use in junction with the pump you choose.

Actually, Im not looking for a power increase so much as trying to boost the stock pressure.

According to the FP gauge I have, it idles @ 9 # and at WOT, drops to 6.

I think Ill just stick with the stock setup for now.

Thanks for the replys.
