I have an 02 2500 at 5000 MI I put a Mag Hytec cover and replaced the fluid with the purple 75-90 (LE) stuff that mag hytec recommends and the recommended amount of additive. I got the rear end a little twisted the other day and noticed no limited slip. Althogh it works on slick pvement. NOT HAPPY

You may need to add some LSD friction modifier. Most do though some of you upper line synthetics will already have it added.

Becareful on how much friction modifyer ( sp ) you use. It helps the clutch's slip- not grip . Ford at one time had a version of LSD additive that helped the clutch's grip. I don't know of a part # but an old( knowledgable ) Ford parts person should be able to find it if it is still available.

Some people don't use any friction modifyer at all; the draw back is more clutch noise and chattering around corners. If you do drain your fluid try doing some figure eights in a big parking lot to work the new fluid around the clutch's. Good luck , Thomas
