I have a Dana 80 under my truck with a LSD in it. but yesterday i was off the road where i needed it to work and it would not. i remember reading something about changing the order of the clutches but i cant find it. do any one know the order and does it help that much. At this point anything will be better than what i have. Thanks for the advice and help.

First I would drain it and get the anti slip additive out. See if it then works. All of these LSD are different in the amount of additive they need.

Before I spent money on repairs I would just pump out the Amsoil and use a regular dino lube to see if that gets the LSD working. That way you can save the Amsoil if it is not that old, also will let you look at the lube to see if it looks right based on the time its been in the diff. You can buy a manual pump at most auto parts stores for $10. 00, won't take you more than 15 minutes to pump out the Amsoil and put in the new lube.

Trey. . if your Amsoil did not get any additional friction modifier and your just 100% Amsoil and it is slipping... IMHO you need a rebuild... as stated above you might drain and go with dino oil. . however that is stop gap & short term you will still need a rebuild / replate of your LSD
