Austin, TX- breakfast Saturday?

President?

What a combination. Food and diesels. :D :D

When: Saturday December 20th 9:00 am

David McLain at E. T. Performance has once again invited us to his shop for a little BOMB party and dinner. I've got a turkey or two that I plan on frying and I'll bring a potato salad as well. I'd like to make this like a potluck lunch and have everyone bring a dish. LSTDR will supply the paper good(Plates, napkins and utincels). All we'll need from you guys is a side dish or dessert.

Being that it's Christmas time, I'm sure a few of you would like to get a new toy for truck, now is the time. E. T Performance carries products from several different vendors and David will be glad to find that perfect something you've been looking for. :)

Also, if you have some work you want to get done, post it here so anyone that might have a tool that would help can bring it.

Please bring as many of your own tools as possible. We had great success doing it this way and as far as I know, everyone's tools were present and accounted for. I'd rather not use David's tools as they are his livelyhood.

If you plan on attending, please post here or at the LSTDR site with a number of people coming with you and what dish you plan on bringing.

See everyone there. It's gonna be a great time. :D

December 20th - heck, that's my birthday. I gotta come to see what y'all have for my present! An ATS manifold and a HX40/35 hybrid would be nice! ;) :D

I doubt Sandy will be there, but I'll come with a dessert. I don't really have anything to do to my truck, but let me know if I need to bring tools to help wrench on someone else's. For example, I have an inch-pound torque wrench and other stuff required for a 24-valve injector swap if anyone is planning on doing one.

Bill, Kelley's sounds good to me. What time?

I need to fix my 5th gear nut, again.

Would it be OK if I came there to do it?

Are there any special tools needed?

If I get help on the first one, I will do it myself next time. I got the Blumenthal shaft with new gear and set-screw nut put in at a transmission shop, and it only lasted 30k miles.

I will bring most of my tools and some red loc-tite. Is there anything else I need?

If it is ok, could someone send me a PM to let me know? With my new job, I don't get much time to check the TDR much. Thanks.

Hey Eric,

Just talked to David and he said that would be fine. I know my 5th gear nut tool is running around his shop somewhere. But if JB has one to bring, I would have it just in case I can't find mine there.

You'll need about 4 quarts of fluid after we get it fixed. I know David carries Royal Purple Maxgear. It might be something you could give him a call about. ;)
