Yeah old James knows how to re-work a transmission good. I'll be there with my INARUSH-DTT transmission. :D

I was trying to get my friend to let me haul his 97 CTD down and have James work the transmission the 6weeks I'll be down there, but he can't be with out it that long, and doesn't really have the money set aside.

Tell ya what, I forgot how many times james pulled mine to make it "the way I wanted it" but i've gotta hand it to him, he put in the hours! I was more than happy!

I think as far as abuse my 18 month old transmission has re-written the books, I will write an article about it soon to start a thread of the initial build up and what we found when it failed last week(direct clutch hub... stock) at 37000 miles and 690 HP and initially built at the 250 HP range, I still can't believe how good of shape it was in... ... . no hot spots or slipping clutches and no hot or slipping converter..... the paint wasn't even discolored.

Jim

Will anyone have the tools there to do timing adjustments??? mine is still stock, and needs to be bumped up a bit. . dont ya think?

-Chris-

If I'm there Chris I'll have my puller in the tool box to do it the manual way, if you want it done the dial indicator way you'll have to find someone..... I think it's overrated!

Jim

Dude... any way will do better than what it is set at now. . It is still at the stock position!!!! needs to be changed badly! You rock Jim!

Quick question guys,

I was just wondering how late can I attempt to get a place at one of the camp grounds. Due to my situation with the military training, I won't know for a few weeks if I'll be able to attend for sure. Last time I was there, we had to come in over a weekend a couple days to get caught up...

Corey

There are alot of campgrounds around that area, dont know how crowded they will be. Usually you can make a reservation and if needed to cancel then do so at least 24 hours before arrival date and no charges will be incurred but ask first when making reservations.

Cmon down Kurt.

Get ya one of them fancy V-1's and let 'er rip. What the heck is there between Arizona and Kerrville anyways?:D :D ;)

You wouldn't be talkin bout one of them "B-1's " ?? :D

Anyway I will be down. Not sure if I will want to set up a vendors table as I have more fun under the Hoods of a few CTD's. But I can probably put together some "Giveaways" to help sponsor your event. Give me a call when you get a minute... L8tr Kurt

Now, with all the people pulling TT's down, would anyone have some extra space somewhere inside? I would be willing to pay some of the co$t to stay there, but the motels are so far away. I love my beer, and do not believe in drinking and driving, so that is why I thought I would ask this question. Thanks,

Chris

If I get to come (almost positive) I'll bring my timing kit I have it all. and when I find out for sure you can stay with me I will drive you drunk A$$ home. :p

I think I got it covered now... Talked to one of the little senoritas I know, and she is going to either let me use her fancy schmancy horse trailer with full quarters, or just go with me, which I wouldnt mind! Either way, I think we may have extra room for you dan and Andrew! that way we can get inebriated and not have to worry about driving!

Registration???

Curtis!! Ok so I am good to go with my reservation at Buckhorn but was wondering if we need to register any other place??? I remember last year we registered on your web-site. Let me know I just want to make sure I am on the list... ..... because I am in for the rally!!!!!

You guys would have been proud of me... ... ... . my friends had a bachelor party planned for the weekend of the rally at Baffin Bay ... ... after finding out the conflict I immediately took it upon my self to change the dates... ... ... . wow what a task... ... ... ..... but I was successful in the end. Now thats dedication. Looking forward to the rally!!!!!!!

Southbound:

Hey Lance, I'm glad you were able to work that out. I knew the scheduling conflict was going to cause you problems. I'm looking forward to talking Avions as well as Dodge-Cummins with you at Kerrville. We'll have to park our old Avions next door to each other at Buckhorn.

I had the same question as you for Curtis. During previous LSTDR rallies we were asked to complete a registration so the organizers could plan for the numbers who would be eating meals and other things. Curtis mentioned it a couple of months ago but I never saw a reminder on the TDR website for us to register.

Curtis: Do you have a registration form you want us to complete. There will be two in my trailer. My wife will be driving down Friday.

Harvey

OK fellas,

I finally got off my duff and got a registration page built up. Everyone is encouraged to register through the site so we can have an accurate headcount for the food, and we'd also like to get the most of the name badges pre-made. We'd also like the names of your guest so we can make name tags for them as well.

You can access the registration page with the following link, or through the LSTDR main page.

Thanks again guys,

Curtis Harris
