Sandia Showdown - Oct 11

Clash race on 25th?

Hey folks,

Looks like it should be a go for me. I signed up on the site, but still need to get ahold of the camp ground. I was considering a hotel, I just don't know how the weather will be, and tents aren't always fun...

I'm planning on showing up sometime Saturday, it could be friday, but leaning towards Sat.

Anybody else driving down around that time, or leaving late friday from Dallas? I get out of school around 1600 (4p) and should beable to leave shortly afterward.

Good to hear you're going. Sorry I didn't get to chat with you Saturday but I had to shove off pretty quick. A few of us will be heading down Thursday night but we'll leave the light on for you.

Darren

Well I E-mailed my reservations into Buckhorn. I'll be headed down after school on Friday, so I'll be in late on Friday night. Just listen for the stock sounding 6sp looking for my camping spot. (or the guy in the Red tent)

When are you headed back up to Colorado? I don't know which way i'm taking back to SLC, but I'll be headed home around the 16th of October.

Corey

Hi Corey, I never know, well usually never know. If I make Texas I'll look for a load going back to Indiana, from there have no idea where next. Bout the only time I get to Colo is taking a load West, West to me is NM, AZ, UT, CA, OR, WA, ND, SD, WY, heck, bout anything west of Illinois I guess. South is anything south of Great Lakes, and East is just east. Nobody wants to drag east, tolls and construction traffic take lots of patience. Me, I really don't care where I go, but like to land in Colo once a month or so. Getting chilly now and I'm not rigged with heater yet, snows a commin and I'm still running the Cummins for heat. Not good for engine and more expensive than gen and heater. Don't know if I'll be connected to the internet this trip out, gotta send my laptop back to dell for repair. Gonna pick up a cheapy to log in, may not be able to connect.

Cheers,

Steve J.

Well good luck with your trips, and hope you can make it out to the Rally!

As far as a heater, you could always get a power inverter, but you would still have to run the truck to power the batteries back up.

Corey, my last drop was in SLC. Had been out for a month, dead tired, backhaul didn't work out, so just cruised home MT. Been getting truck fixed and sittin on my but restin. Wifey wants to keep eating so gotta hit the pavement.

Cheers,

Steve J.

Don't drag it to Kerrville only for me but I might be interested in the 1998 - 2002 aluminum tool box.

I recently installed a Transfer Flow Auxiliary tank in my truck which occupies about 20 to 24 inches of the front of the truck bed so I don't know if your tool box will fit between the TF fuel tank and the fender wells.

I'll be in a white 3500 with camper shell pulling an old silver Avion TT.

Whats up with the Dyno and Drag-race that was talked about earlier? Sure hope its still on! How many are interested in this also?:D

I will try to make it if I can but my weekend schedules are still up in the air... . where is it at exactly?? The location will be part of the determining factor as to if I can make it or not.

Nate

Hey Curtis... . think you could bring that EZ box I won a year ago and still have not gotten??? Just thought I would ask...

-Chris-

Can't seem to remember were we are suppose to sign up but I plan on being there with you'll but I still have the drive back from Canada in front of me... . leaving Sat.

Hey Curtis:

My wife asked me last night if she should plan on preparation of a particular dish for a pot luck supper like was organized two years ago. I told her I hadn't heard anything about a pot luck supper.

Is there anything like that planned? Anything we should be prepared to contribute?

Do you have a schedule of activities or list of vendors prepared yet?

It doesn't really matter, we'll have a good time getting together in Kerrville anyway but it would be good to know what to expect.

Harvey

I was wondering if the drag races mentioned are a go? If they are what time will the gates be opening at the track? I know a guy that would like to try his hand at the 1/4 if the drags are still on.

Thanks

Drag Racing

The drag racing will be up to each individual. As for myself I'm thinking of leaving early friday and stopping at http://www.sanantonioraceway.com/ for some hopefully quick runs. Then continuing on to the park either later friday night or saturday morning.

Just so y'all know, if all goes right, I will be bringing various things I am trying to sell; Headache Rack, Stock rims, 12" subs still in the box, and a few other things. . let me know if any of y'all are interested.
