Clash race on 25th?

Welp, looks like I will not be able to make it this year. Between wrecked truck, birthday parties and other things, it is just not going to happen. Stay safe.

I am located in Dallas and thinking about going to the 2003 LSTDR Texas Rally. I am a member of the Turbo Diesel Register. Do I have to join LSTDR before I attend the event? Also is there an additional charge for attending the event itself?

I tried going to the webpage http://www.lstdr.org but the sight doesn't seem to work. I also sent an email to -- email address removed -- and it was returned. Is there a phone number I can call for more information? Thanks ...

No you don't have to join if you don't want too.

All you need to qualify is to show up.

P. S. Bring Curtis AKA Gitchesum a beer and your in. :)

I have something I would like everyone to consider.

We have been riding Curtis's (AKA Gitchesum) coat tails for a few years now but its time for a change as this is getting to be too much for just 1 person. I would like to offer that we get a committee of say 5-6 people to take the ball and run with it.

We have commitments from some prominent people for next year (to be named later) and it would be nice if we could organize an event (drag race) but its too much for Curtis by himself so its time to call up the troops.

Please consider carefully if you have some time to devote to this endeavor and get with me at the rally.

I am looking very forward to seeing everyone again and all the new people as well.

Is anyone going to San Antonio Raceway Friday afternoon??

Rally

I don't know exactly where to sign up,but I will be there along with my Dad who just became a member.

See Ya'll

Greg

I may go out there, but they are calling for rain. . not trying to be a party pooper, but just thought I would let ya know... that, and it is a 90 mile one way trip from the campground to the strip. . Just keep that in mind as well.

-Chris-

I am planning on going. Some people that I know want to go (a guy with a ford and couple of guys with bikes) so if it is not raining I will be there. One quick question: Does anyone have a schedule of events for Saturday?

Thanks

David

Nothing is really set in stone but we will have two seminars this year.

Friday afternoon, several of the guys are hitting the racetrack in Marion. Gates open at 6:00pm. They have a "Grudge Match" night and an "Import Shootout" that night so there should be plenty of ricers to smokeout. :)

We usually get things started around 9:00 am on Saturday. We'll start the registration process where everone will get a name tag with TDR handles so we all know who each other is.

During registration, everyone will be welcome to visit the vendors that will have displays available.

James Northum will be holding a seminar on auto transmission upgrades. James has been upgrading Dodge transmissions with DTT products for several years now. He will also be showcasing new products for the 48RE transmission.

We'll probably break for lunch between the two seminars. Lunch will be provided by the campsite at a cost of $5 per person. The menu will be burgers and fries will all the fixins.

Kurt Yardley with Mild to Wild Diesel and developer of the KwikSpool and B1 turbos will also be holding a information and Q&A seminar. He'll be able to answer most of your turbo and diesel performance questions.

After Kurt finishes his seminar, the rest of the afternoon will give everyone time to visit with the vendors that are attending.

Towards the end of the afternoon, we'll start giving away the door prizes. And trust me, you WILL want to hang around for that. We have some great door prizes this year including, intake systems, fuel upgrade systems, synthetic oils, filters, gift certificates to many of your favorite vendors and t-shirts, hats and stickers.

We're gonna have a great time.

Curtis

campsite available

Having to do an emergency upgrade at work this weekend so I can't go. . I cancelled a campsite so if they were all booked up there should be one available now...

We're at Buckhorn!

We are already here at Buckhorn... got here yesterday afternoon. We're using the free on our site high speed Internet service compliments of Buckhorn to surf the TDR site. Yep, that's right... sitting here in the camper at the RV park connected to the www via DSL. WOW! :) :D

Several others who belong to the BDDDC are here too. The clouds are breaking away and we see patches of blue sky in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Y'all come on the the Rally!!!:D

Bill
