This is always a hot one, but here goes. What recommendations can anyone make for gear lube for are year trucks? I would like to put the best stuff in both of my rigs for longevity. Will synthetic work or will it destroy the G-360 commie crash box? What about the dana's T-case?

Thanks guys

I've been running Valvoline synthetic 5W-30 in the Getrag since I purchased my 89 (over five years ago). I don't know why everyone is ragg'in on the Getrag. Yea, I know it is a clunky transmission when it's cold, and you cant row through the gears like a Toyota, but I have had zero transmission problems on both trucks. As for the Dana 70 rear, I've run regular mineral base 90W gear oil, and have not had any problems with that either. If you have a limited slip rear differential, it is recommended to add a bottle or two of the additive for the clutch plates, otherwise you may get a little rear end chatter when cutting the wheel sharply.

Will Synthetics destroy... ???
NO, they will not. You will get the same benefits everyone else does, lower temps, better mileage, easy cold weather starts, longer drains, if you wish,
And better wear protection. Try the search feature, you will find hundreds of posts on oil!
