I know, I know, we've had more than our share of 6.7L additive threads, but I just recently stumbled upon a new (to me) product: Lucas Oil Diesel Deep Clean. Among other things, Lucas Oil claims the their Diesel Deep Clean aids in cleaning and reducing the amount of carbon and soot buildup in the DPF. I am curious if any of our members have any experience with this product or know of someone who has? I'm always a skeptic and often doubt all manner of automotive "miracles." Any and all input would be most welcome.

I have included two links below, one, to the manufacturer's product web page; two, an article promoting the product.

If you read the SDS, there is no Cetane Improver in it, which is a key ingredient that improves the combustion.

I put 2 16oz bottles into my truck 3 days ago. (I have a 57 gallon titan tank) It's been only driven locally since then but today I noticed a definite change in how the engine is acting but can't really put my finger on any one thing. Just over all the truck "feels" smoother and more responsive.

An increase in cetane beyond requirements aids in cold weather starting but lowers power and efficiency. Number one Diesel has a higher cetane rating than number two.
