OK I just got my new wheels from UPS about 20 minutes ago. . They are M/T classic II's in 17 x 9. I was wondering if anyone knew if my stock lugs would work for now... If not, where do you all recomend me buy some new nice lug nuts?

Nick

I think they will work for the time being, but I would find out what size you need and order them from someplace like summit or something, local tire shops are usually pretty expensive on lug nuts.

I really want to see how they look on the truck. I've been wanting some rims to stick my tires out a good bit to get some more stability in the corners, plus I like the looks. So GO GET THEM INSTALLED ;) :D

I don't know what size lug nuts are on you truck now, but I know the ones on my truck are 15/16". I would try the local tire shop even a discount auto parts store like Pep Boys,Auto zone or such. I know the big auto stores that sell tires usually sell aftermarket rims and also the lug nuts.

Give it a shot.

They'll work fine - they'll just look real ugly.

Your bigger problem is those wheels. They won't fit - they only have six holes in 'em! :D

McGard makes a nice set of lug nuts. They have a lifetime warranty against chipping/rusting (free replacements). The lugs should be 9/16"-18 threads, but take a lug and check it against a bolt of that thread to make sure. Yes, the stock lugs take a 15/16" wrench/socket, but the new ones will most likely be 7/8" on the outside (meaning you better carry your own socket/extension/breaker bar, because the stock wrench won't fit anymore).

My son put some MT rims similar to those on his 99 and he got the lug nuts from Discount Tire. He rotates his tires every 10000 and he has already had to replace all the lug nuts on his torques them to specs too. Those after market lug nuts are not at strong as the stock lug nuts in my opinion. He had threads stripping out but the wheel studs are still good. He's probably got about 160000 on the 99 so he has rotated them a few times. If you want them tires to last rotate them I would not use the stock lug nuts on rims like that. I think they would scar them up.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THERE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELL YEAH!! there on everyone!!! called up my guy who takes care of the truck told him to get some nice lugs took it in and its all taken care of!!!!

Take a look in my Reader Rigs under NEW WHEELS...

If someone can please put them out here i cant get them to fit. .

Nick,

M/T recommends using a "bulge" type lug nut (like the OEM ones) with their wheels. I guess these have more clamping surface area than regular nuts. McGard does not make them in a kit. I ended up using Gorilla bulge lugs. Had to buy them in cards of 4. It's probably not a big deal, but I felt better using the bulge nuts.

the pitch of the "acorn" matches up perfectly with the pitch of the "acorn" on the wheels. . I think the lug nuts look pretty cool :)

Nice looking truck, Nick. Those wheels are sharp.

(BTW, FedEx dropped off my other set of H2 wheels today. Thanks for the offer to help out-- Much appreciated)

Nice wheels Nick!

I take it those are 315 bfg,s. Do the rims rub at all with that extra added inch?. Buy the looks in the picture they look a little beefier. Looks really good thats my next investment. DAVE...

Thx guys... There is not one bit of rubbing at all :) The tires are the 315 bfg's. I held my bushwhacker fender flares up to it and the tires and flares are going to run PERFECTLY flush. . Next week ill update you guys with fender flares on :)... Truck is really startin to look good, couldnt be much happier
