I've read about wheels falling off and am ready to replace the 1/2" studs on mine with 9/16". Where do you get those and what's the proper drill size to enlarge the hubs?

I have been to timbucktoo and back trying to find a longer, larger stud for my '89 because I have installed the rickson 19. 5 wheels, which are heavier than stock. I don't know to be certain what the post 91. 0 trucks have but the situation for the '89 was that we have a 1/2" stud that has a . 723 Knurl which is quite large. The only replacement was a 5/8" stud that was only 1/16" longer. this is speaking to the front hubs BTW. The rears are a different story. I went through all the doorman catalogs and to the NAPA warehouse by me, and this is the only option. You can get 9/16 lug studs but the knurl is in the . 6xxx range... no way to make a hole smaller of course. Watch out for "drilling" a larger hole for these. You need to REAM the hole if enlarging is necessary...

My end result was to simply replace my lugs studs with new stock size ones and use a new lug nut that threaded on to the stud deeper in past the wheel before the acorn bulge started

Stockton Wheel claims to have 9/16 stud packages. They quoted me $60 for the 16 I'd need for the rear. Now, whether the guy I was talking too actually know about the stock size knurl and whether the replacement studs would fit is another matter. And that $60 was an addon if I were buying a couple of custom order wheels. Stockton can and will make the 16x8 or 16x10 rated for 3700# steel wheels I've been trying to find. They do want $200 apiece for them so I'm not jumping on that deal instantly. I've found a couple of aluminum wheels that might do the job for a good bit less money than that, but stull checking out the load rating on those.

I wasn't eager to drop $60 on the stud, but maybe that's the way to go.
Every time I look at wheel offerings the charts list the first gen duallys as having 1/2" studs and I know that's bogus. All of them I've seen are 5/8" Bud type so the lug nuts will not work with singles.
