2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Lukes link hitting

Has anyone else had the Lukes Link fix for the track bar contact the front differential?

There have been other posts regarding the Lukes Link on the end of the track bar hitting the front differential cover. When I replaced mine it hit one time and only just scratched the paint on the cover. Never done it since(two years). I just ordered the four tie rod replacement Links and was told the design has been changed. The Lukes Links are now 1/4 inch shorter to preclude this happening.

Mine also seemed to just scratch off the paint and did no real damage to the cover...
