Hello,

I just purchased four Luke's Links for my '96 Ram. The installation doesn't look to bad other than I don't have an air hammer. I was just wondering if anybody could recommend a shop in south eastern Michigan that has experience installing them.

Thanks again.

Marty

I didn't need an air hammer for mine. Just take the castle nut off, turn it upside down on the stud and smack it with a bfh. Just be sure you don't damage the stud, been there done that. A pickle fork would be nice but I don't think its necessary.

BTW, I love the luke's link. I didn't realize how bad my steering was until I installed it.

Mine would NOT come out even with a BFH AND a pickle fork jammed in there and THAT hammered with a BFH!!!!

Finally after jamming the pickle fork in there and loosely securing the nut I went for a drive to a little construction site for some hard-core offroading. I slammed ruts and piles of dirt hard while turning and it still wouldn't give. Finally after 15 minutes of this and raising heck I drove home. . . one block from my house while driving straight at 15 mph it FINALLY POPPED LOOSE

Lsfarm is a person on this site, just do a search for that name and you will find him.

Greg is a pilot and when he is home he works on these trucks, he has a great shop and is very knowledgeable.

Thanks for all the info. You guys were right, I put them on yesterday and it wasn't a bad job at all. I did rent an air hammer and pickle fork and it worked great.

The steering is definately better well worth it IMO.
