2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Lukes Link question...

I did not install it on my 02 but it only has about 5K miles on it. I am getting some slight up/down movement between the frame mount and the top of the cap. Not the bar moving inside the cap at all... the entire cap moving up and down. I can't figure out by the instructions how I can cure this. Yes the stud is as tight as it can get in the frame bracket and it's NOT a loose stud moving it's the cap end moving on the stud... .

Try calling Luke directly. Seems like a nice guy and was very helpful to me a few years back.

I suspect the the urethane spacer may be to short. If it is to short, the screw cap will hit the bar without putting enough pressure on the ball of the stud and the cap will move up and down. You can guess how I know.
