Lumbar Service

I bought the complete lumbar support mechanisim as I broke mine on the way back from the CMEP gathering. The service manager at the local dealership said it takes about 2. 5 hours to replace after removing the seat. Anyone here have any experience or tips on how to take this task on?

There was a very complete reply to this issue on 06/18. Go back about three pages to Simple but maddening lumbar issue or something like that. I did this service on my 2004. 5 leather seat and it's not too bad. Just have to have the correct side... driver or passenger. Cost me about 40 bucks at the dealer.

Got the seat out yesterday, blazing HOT & HUMID!!! Changed out the mechanisim, will reassembly seat and cover tommorrow. I believe the part cost ~$50. So by doing it myself I'll have beer money for a month!!!
