Back from Macomb!

dyno day wausau sat may 10

I'm setting up a lunch meeting for April 5th at Famous Dave's here in LaCrosse from ~11:00 to whenever. It's just off of I-90 by about 1/2 mile and is pretty easy to get to. Not to mention, there is a huge parking lot that we can all but have to ourselves for the day.

I am hoping (and planning) for an outdoor lunch with the full menu available to us. Please pray for good weather.

Let me know if you guys are going to be able to make it and how many will be there. That'll help me and Michael (Big Slab himself) determine how many we should prepare for.

To get directions, the address is 3055 State Highway 16, La Crosse, WI 54601. It's right off of I-90 (exit 4) just off of 157 east (or you can take exit 5 (hwy 16) south). Not hard to find.

I am hoping to discuss Goerand's, BOMBing sessions, KDP sessions (I'd like to get another one going somewhere), etc. Hope to see you guys there.

Count me in!

I doubt if the wife will make it though. She gets too excited and cant control herself, then I have to listen to her all the way home about what I should do to the truck next... stage 15 injectors, 12" exhaust stacks, a ultra-mega in cab adjustable on the fly 500hp fueling box, twin injection pumps, and triple variable vane chargers. (I am sure your wives are the same):p

I swear that truck is all she talks about:-laf

Is it the same place we ate at last year??

I might bring a friend thats been wanting to join, but no guarantees.

I can't make the lunch at Famous Dave's, but I would be interested if anything happens with a KDP session. I have a '99 and it's starting to sound like the 24v's can be affected by the KDP.

I got landowner's dinner/dance that evening so I won't be able to make it. I'll patiently wait for the next roundup.

Jim, I wish my wife was that way... when she found out that I was drilling the manifold for a EGT probe she refused to enter the garage. When she did by mistake (she thought I was done) she almost fainted... . I can't get her to understand the "I am my own warrantee station"

Can't make it...

I will be chasing steers at a rodeo in Brookings that weekend. Wish I could make it, I haven't been to a get together for a long time.

I'm gonna tell them to set us up for a lunch of 20. There are 10 of us confirmed so far. They are super flexible and are really interested in supporting our group. Also, I will try to get walk-ins from the locality. I will have some special things planned too. I don't want to say what they are now. But I don't think you guys will be disappointed.

As for directions, here you go.

From the West, take I-90 East to Exit 4 (Hwy 53 / 157). Turn right on to 157 East. Go to Hwy 16 and turn right (Hwy 16 South). You will see it on the right hand side.

From the East, take I-90 West to Exit 5 (Hwy 16). Turn left on to Hwy 16 South. Follow through 4 stop lights (I think) past 157. You will see it on the right hand side.

From the south, take Hwy 16 North and it will be on the left hand side. You will pass CTH B just before you get there so be in the left lane by then.

From the North, take Hwy 16 South and follow the same directions as above for the West-bound I-90 people.

This place isn't too hard to find. I think the 150' sign should help somewhat. The phone number there is 608-779-4100. The address is 3055 State Road 16, LaCrosse, WI 54601.

When you get there, ask for the TDR group. I'll be there around 11:00. I will try to set up an outdoor tent of some sort (local rules prohibit it, I'll explain later) and I'll also try to have a few chairs for people. We'll be eating indoors and we can have our meeting there too if you'd like. But I would like to have it outside if the weather will cooperate. Anyway, hope to see you guys there.

If I don't have to work, I'll try and make it.

If I don't have to work(won't know till Thursday), I'll try and make it. I might be coming in the airplane if the weather is good(only a little over an hour). If not, probably in the '97

Hey John...

If you need a chauffeur around to and from the airport, give me a call on my cell, I'd be happy to shuttle you around. (SEE PM)

I should be in the LaCrosse area around 10:00-10:30ish, but you can call me anytime.

For the lunch, it's supposed to be 40* and no precip. I'm gonna guess it will be mostly cloudy. Why does the weather have to be this way? Better bring a jacket. CWI's beware.

I talked to the owner of F. D. 's and he said they should be able to accomodate us without too much difficulty. I was hoping to have a banner to display, but I don't think that's gonna happen. Hopefully our trucks will just speak for themselves.
