A friend ask me if I wanted to deliver a 34 Ford Street Rod to Portland Maine from Pennsylvania for $500 bucks with his car trailer. Well I think about it and say yes I could take my wife along and we could have a lobster dinner and stay the night and return home on Saturday and still have money left over. Well my wife ask if her mom could go along she has never been to the New England states I say ok this should be fun. So we leave Friday at 1pm from below Harrisburg PA take 81 north get to Scranton PA and the truck starts to shake so I slow down but the shaking gets worse. I pull over and find the front drivers side tire has come apart I put on the spare and we are up and running about an hour delay. We get on 84 East and go to 495 North in Connecticut and I feel the shaking again I slow down and it stops speed up and no more shaking so I think it must have been the road. 450 miles I stop for fuel $35 and it's full, walk around and find one of the trailer tires has gone flat and has for the most part left the trailer all that was left were the side walls. So I find a tow truck and the kid running it says he could help me out we take the wheel off and he goes to his shop puts a used tire on and comes back works grate talk to an Dodge Cummins owner that stopped to help, pay the kid $50 for helping me out Total time about 3 hours. Now my wife and mother in-law have had enough and want to go to bed and they want to go to bed now. Up the road we go to Holiday Inn $119 for a room. Get up at 7am on the road by 8:30 Deliver the car at 10:00am in Portland and find out some one stolid one of the ramps out of the trailer we make a ramp and the car is delivered on time.

The owner of the car says let the trailer sit and go in town for lunch sounds good. We have a sea food lunch on a boat very good $70 then some shopping $50 At 12:30 we are hooked up and going home. Stop in PA for fuel $40 and we are home at 10pm after paying tolls and snack stops I have enough money left to buy a new tire for the truck.

So we ate lunch in Maine for free

P. S. The Cummins never complained. Oo.

you eat dogs in MA?

I'm from Maine and we eat "lobstah" there. Never had "labstah". Does it come in chocolate, gold and brown flavors, too?

OhhhhMannn - I'd love to do that

We ate steamed crab on a boat that was docked next to the National Aquarium in Baltimore once. They had picnic tables lined up on the deck, covered with sheets of brown package paper. They steamed the crabs in a big brass kettle on the deck and dumped them on the paper table cloth and you ate 'till you busted.
