Help! Had a Suncoast auto transmission, heavy duty torque converter and TCC (TC lockup computer) installed last October and yesterday went to take truck out and the following happened. Backed up out of my driveway and when I shifted to Drive, the truck lurched forward and stalled. I tried several times to get out of road and back into driveway but continued to lurch and stall when put into drive.

Backed down the road and found wide shoulders so I did U-turn in reverse and backed up and into my driveway. Went out this morning to see if any codes set but none displayed. Truck will still works in reverse but same problem when shifting into drive.

Planning on calling Suncoast Monday morning but looking for possible suggestions/causes in the meantime. Truck totally incapacitated. Help!!

Truck is only used for towing my 5th wheel and only have about 8,000 miles on it since install. Made 2 1/2 trips to NC and back to NY (Truck repaired in NC last October) towing and rest local.

My signature line and truck overview are up to date with addons.

It is not real easy to diagnose it on the internet, but it sounds like the front clutch is locked up. Why, I don't know. It could be valve body or burnt up plates.

I say this because reverse still works. Front clutch is 3rd gear.

It is probally the T/C locking up.

Is the TCC plug and play? If it is try pulling it. The TCC may be getting a faulty speed signal.

If it was the solinoid it would do it in rev as well I think.

I have the TCC lockup controller turned off and it is defaulting back to the original control settings in the PCM. I could pull the plug on the controller. I also thought it may be the TC locking up but I'm not sure why reverse would be working only.

It could be something in the transmission and basically is new. Going to call Suncoast on Monday to find out what my; options are.
