Got them installed, what a piece of cake. Took myself and my nephew less than 20 minutes to install--BOTH SIDES. There is NO DRILLING as they use the cab mounts and they use these special tee-bolts that slide in holes already in the body supports for addition support. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking. The only tools you will need are a:

19mm 1/2 drive socket
6" 1/2 drive extension
1/2 drive ratchet--and torque wrench--they reccomend 45 ft. lbs.
9/16 combo wrench

Thats it. They look great and line up perfectly. I paid $281 for the QC SST at American Truck Equipment in Cleveland OH--they shipped them to me. #ad

Sorry Scooby no digi camera yet! Still getting used to $550 month truck payments--wife has me on a very tight leash. #ad

I have a set on my truck. I agree, they're a great product and easy to install. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Ditto on the endorsement. Still just as purdy as when I put 'em on a year ago.

I assume that the SST mean stainless steel?

Here is the info for American Truck Equipment:

Mark is the fellow who runs the shop, tell him you saw this on TDR. Ordered on Monday, had them on Tuesday.

D98324SST is part number for Quad Cab Stainless.

Yes SST means Stainless Steel--they also have them in black powder coat.

Luveren has a site: http://www.luvernetruck.com/

Or you can call Luverne's customer service for a dealer nearest you. 1-800-533-0507.

This may sound like a paid endorsement, but its not--you guys are so great here that I just wanted to share my experience with this great product.

Semi,

I understand about the leash!

Hey, are these bars nice and tight (up close) to the body? I hate it when I see a large gap - no point in giving away valuable ground clearance.

When you stand (and bounce) on them, do they bend a little or no?

Scooby,

try this link for a picture, looks just like my truck except for the brush guard. http://www.luvernetruck.com/Product_Line/Nerf_Bars/Dodge_Nerf/dodge_nerf.html

Can bounce on the bars, truck rocks, don't feel any bending. Still very happy with mine. If they had had one that went back to the rear wheel well opening, would have gotten that. #ad

Scooby--They fit so tight against the lip on the lower body, that the plastic that came wrapped around the bars got stuck. They don not touch the body though. I weigh 260 lbs and I jumped up and down on them and the suspension on the 1-ton was rocking, but the bars did not move at all! Its all in thier extra support mounting system--it is very slick.

Hope this helps.

I got mine from my dealer for my reg. cab truck. They fit nice and close to the cab, don't leave a big space.

Anyone know how the Laverne bars compare to the Westin bars. I think the Westins stick out from the truck too far! Are the Lavernes any better?

Thanks

Challenger,
my Luverne bars are just inside the outside edge of the stock tire and DC mudflap. Can't see 'em looking straight down the side from the front. Really like them, wish Luverne made a brush guard I liked, would buy it in a second.

Ok Semi-Automatic,

I just placed my order with Mark. I actually called Luverne and they weren't exactly on the ball in terms of being able to locate a local distributor. So I called Mark and he offered a good price (I got the black powdercoated ones). I'm looking forward to it. #ad

You will NOT be sorry. I have had a lot of guys look at the bars and ask where did I get them? They have never seen any of them attatch like that. Truck sets in an Advance Parts Store Lot across frm you office. The manager told me yesturday that a fellow came into his store and wanted to buy a set just like the ones on the Black Dually that sets outside! They can't get them! #ad
