Big Rig Nationals at Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek, Maryland. Looks like Cummins is out as a sponsor this year, a local Pete dealer is sponsoring.

They also have open, bracket and elimination racing for pickups, I think it is around $10. 00 more to run on the track.



I am waiting for the event coordinator to get back to me with more info regarding the specifics of our group attendance (pricing, parking and other perks) package.



Lots of fun watching big trucks run the 1/4 mile.

If we all come in as a group early in the morning, they will let us park together in the show area. So let's plan accordingly.

If you know anyone that enjoys racing or money, it pays $1000 to win the diesel pickup class bracket drags.

That's what we did last year we got there a little late and there was a Chineese fire drill going on at the gate. There was a little mixup and the put us next to the pit area right by the traps, worked out OK.

Looking forward to seeing you again, Dave. You're right about the Chinese fire drill last year, that wasn't no fun...

I had Eric call the track, most of us in the GLTDR that are going , would like to have all the Cummins Rams that aren't racing OR showing, to park in their own area right behind those of us that ARE racing and/or showing... . That way, we can keep everyone together for more fun, and attention... Anything else, and "spectators" will just have to park wherever. I don't like that.

John_P stopped by to visit me on his way to Scheid. I think he's going to try to come up for this event, also. Hope he brings 1Big44 (Wes) with him.

It looks like only a 5 hour drive for me, dragging the camper. I too am interested in a camp ground. Looks like a Friday drive north and a Sunday drive south.

Anybody going up the 301, watch out for all the deer through there, at Fort A. P. Hill. They crowd the road, hundreds of them. Probably much more of a problem at night.

I'll be staying in Fredericksburg, VA on Friday night, I prefer that area, as the area around the dragstrip doesn't offer a whole lot.

I'm in for racing, The week prior to this I will be having a clutch and stage two injectors installed. I will also get my ufm comp chipped. I will make this one even if another one of my dogs die the day before.

Count me in as long as I do not to tied up coming in from the west,,When I get in I'll come down,,JStyer,you need a campground to stay at,why not use the one where Wiredawg stays at(Duncan's),,Its only about a hour drive down to MIR(Budds Creek) from there,,I've never stayed at the one MIR listed,but,have seen it from bridge as I have passed over it and doesn't look to inviting,,Clutch job will be done by then so should be a fun day... .....
