M-D TDR Summer Picnic...Any Takers??...

The Mason-Dixon Chapter is planning a Summer Picnic at Fort Fredrick State Park in Big Pool,MD. They have a very nice picnic pavillion facility we are going to reserve and plenty of room to enjoy some nice scenery along with some good old fashioned history. **ICEMAN**has checked with them and these are the available dates and we all need to decide who is interested and what weekend will work best. These are the available weekends.



first choices:

6 -21,22

7-19,20

8-16

second choices:

7-12,13

8-9,10

9-6,7

**ICEMAN** Has also opffered his garage facility for some mild BOMBing if needed as he lives not far from there. i am going to go ahead and make a reservation for the 7 19,20 weekend because the pavillion is starting to get booked. which day,,sat or sun ,,would you all like set it for? i could also reserve some other dates. i just wanna be sure we get a reservation.

the pavillion is located in a very secluded dead end road part of the park and has public restrooms,playground for kids,fishing, boat rental and tours of the fort. the park also has 20 campsites available(no water/sewer) by reservation if anyone would like to stay. i talked with park officials and it is ok to bring your coolers filled with whatever u like. we can get away with doing some mild bombing at the park. what i had meant when hammer and i talked about opening my garage for wrenching was that if a tool etc is needed i live close enough to go and get it.

i feel sure andy and john will agree that we should open the invitation to all TDR members instead of just our local chapter.

there is plenty of room. pass the word around and make the a HUGE get together

I hate to be a party crasher but... .

I'm going to be in Berkeley Springs, WV. for July 22/23 then in Baltimore for the Firehouse Expo the rest of the week. My Plan was too take a few days off but if your going to be doing this picnic... I'll take the week off and see some sights. And some Diesels

Hope you don't mind. I have to confirm everything but it looks good. Oo.
