MIR on the 26th (Big Rig Nationals -DHRA)

wiredawg send off

Wiredawg and TDR gamg,

I sure would like to make this and I might be able to but not sure for now. My daughter is a nurse in the Navy reserve and last weekend was told that they will be leaving within two weeks. No other info available. If she leaves before the 15th, I will be there. I will update you when I know more.

John S. let me know what time. I guess the park&ride is still the meeting point. I haven't seen hide nor hair of wirenut???Iceman let me know if you can make it and I'll meet ya at the mini-mart.

HERE is a good Map site that I use. Just enter starting and ending point and it will give pretty good directions. The more specific the address the more detailed map you get... . Doug

Andy,

I'm planning on making the trip this weekend with my grill in the rear.

Can I get some directions from Virginia that don't involve "turn left when you see Wally the Wino? ;)

Meeting time

**ICEMAN**,FFUTCH and any others meeting at the park-n-ride at exit 29. If the event starts 8-9ish, we should probably meet at 6:30. TMACC, Kenny M that would put us at your exit about 7:15-7:30. Will have CB on and on channel 15 so we can hear you. Shovelhead that should put us at the intersection of 70 & 695 somewhere about 7:45 - 8:00, if you wanted to wait on the shoulder for us. I downloaded the map and directions to my GPS if we get lost.

John

Directions.....

For those coming a quick note and I'll tally the food later today. .

In a chat with Mike last week there is a concern about parking at his shop due to the current weather and amounts of snow we have recieved. He has told me he can normally park most any amount of trucks with the land he has there but if we do not get a few nice days and some meltoff and/or dryout we will be parking hampered. Those coming may need to watch this post as I will keep you updated on this and we may(keyword)have to consider Ram-Pooling to this event. I'll be running the route for those tommorrow(Saturday)and will put some accurate directions up for those coming andf will try not to begin with "Make the first left turn after you see Wally the Wino and then proceed to Uncle festers red barn"(Shovelhead, welcome back and you still crack me up,LOL).

I'll post up tommorrow as I have been a little busy with a good friend of mine who has become very sick. Till Then... ..... Andy

P. S=Another note of mentioning,as we all have seen,or most of us anyway,Rammin-On is also leaving us that day as well for the Show-Me state and a well deserved retirement. He will pass over his duties to someone that day and he and Lisa will be sorely missed along with Ron & Vivian.

I was informed I was NOT allowed to pull another members new rig out, if she was stuck. :(

I was sitting there, imagining bringin the rpm up to 4000, easing off the clutch, wastegate starts to dump, tires start wailing, black smoke roaring,... . oh my, that would be sweet to video!

hehehehheOo.

Hi All, It looks like I will be able to make it. I can bring the plates and utencils plus a 12 pack of Coke. Andy, if you want to meet at the convience store let me know. See you guys on Sat.

PS- Hey Tmacc, Do we need any BIG hammers for these jobs?? :-laf :-laf

Jeff

Wiredawg,

Sorry I won't be able to attend you farewell get together as I will be in the middle of driving northward to visit our Canadian friends..... In any event I wish you and the Mrs. a smooth road ahead with lots of black smoke out of your exhaust. Take care and I hope to see you soon.

Now as for the rest of you, keep George (aka DodgeSales) inline as I am afraid the bombing bug may have bitten him.

Doug

I will not get you lost........

Ok whats this I see from our resident joystick jockey Jetpilot...

"Sorry I won't be able to attend you farewell get together as I will be in the middle of driving northward to visit our Canadian friends. "...

Hmmmmm. . Seems like he's off on a field trip to the eternal Canadian Cummins HP gods in search of enough power to make Ol Sleddy relinquish his #2 only HP crown. Rumor has it that Gene is now shaking in his Nike's and may need a trip to Thornville to make sure he does not loose his crown, time will tell. . :D :D :D

Now for the good stuff and I am not responsible for the wild goose chases thru the numerous industrial parks near by if you guys get confused. Word of caution, make sure your tanks are all filled up so we need not rescue anyone,LOL. I know in the past I have led a few around surveying the vast countryside between the large industrial wharehouses, but, this time its not my fault, trust me I really didn't do it... . LOL.

Directions to Mikes house and shop for those coming... ...

From Baltimore and points South & West... .

-I-695 East around to I-95 North heading towards Delaware.

-Exit at Exit #67A Rte 43 East,White Marsh Blvd.

-Once on Rte 43 East go to the first exit Rte 7 East and exit.

-Follow Rte 7 east about 5 miles and turn left on Alexis Drive.

-Follow Alexis Drive back and turn right on Fern drive.

-Mikes house is the 3rd on the left, grey in color with shop to the right.

-(If you would happen to miss Alexis Drive turn left on Bulls Lane,go to Fern drive and turn left, house is halfway down the street on the right)

From Points northeast...

-I-95 South to exit #74 Joppatowne/Magnolia.

-top of the ramp turn left across I-95 to Rte #7.

-Make a right onto Rte #7 West.

-Follow Rte#7 west and turn right onto Bulls Lane.

-Left off Bulls Lane onto Fern Drive.

-Grey house halfway down on the right.

-(If you miss Bulls lane you may go down a little further and turn right onto Alexis drive then go back and turn right onto Fern Drive)

Seeing Mike today he figures we can get about 35 or so trucks parked. He owns the 3 homes from Alexis Drive up to his house on the same side and we may use all those driveways. If you have a question on where to park see someone there that day and we will surely get you lost,LOL. He also has assured me that he has enough tools and air to do what ever needs done(sheesh maybe adjust my valves finally). I'll tally the eats later and post them up so its on,be there or be square... ... . Andy

P. S. -Shovelhead,I'll bring the wax you bring the speed wheel and were off to shine heaven. Break out those good glasses... ... ...

Yep, I was so skeered, I scheduled my truck in for some work, all next weekend.

So Brad better get his truck ready to roll, or I'll miss this deal!. :(

O. K. , looks like I'm in.

Where is it that most of you all are meeting up? I thought I saw a meeting time of 6:30 a. m. , somewhere in these posts. Should take me about 4 hrs to get to the 495. How far is it from there to where everyone is meeting? Directions from the 495 to the meeting place would be great. What do I need to bring... ..... gas grill, food, drink?

Thanks

Well ... . I'm not going to make it up this weekend . . too much to do ... so many trucks - not enough time ... life is good!! Good luck Ron and Viv ... and to all of you . . I wish you the best ...

I hope to see all of you in the future ... and if you ever get out to St James, MO ... look me up . . I'm in the phone book ... . don't hesitate to call!!

Keith

Forwarding Address

Hey Keith!

How about a forwarding address? Would like to send you something in the future.

Hope retirement treats you well and the next time I travel out St. Louis, I'll have to look you up.

Bringing Carbs

Carbohydrates, that is, as I am NOT on a diet. Cookies and possibly bread. If I'm really motivated it might be pretzels, but they are a PITA to make...

Keith,

Too bad you're not gonna be there. I had work for ya. :) By the way, thanks for the tip on the GSK. They work sweet now. Got the #10 in also. :D When I get to Lewistown, (couple years, yet), I will definitely be lookin' you up. Good Luck.
