I still have the front end hopping at 42 mph. Have balancing beads in the tires now and helped a little. Toyo M55 285/75/16 on OEM '00 - '02 alloy rims.

- Have swapped the spare with the rt front, no help.

- Swapped spare with lt front, helped a little, but still there.

- Then swapped front and back, have the hop back same as before.

In a previous post, someone mentioned shocks. Am thinking of getting a set of Bilsteins. Could shocks be the problem? My truck is babied with ony 39. 5K highway/ around town miles and hardly any off-roading. I am thinking the suspension isn't built for the larger tires. I had 245/75/16's originally. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Tony. :(

The suspension should handle these tires just fine. There are guys running a lot bigger tires than you an I are and are not having this problem. There's something else causing the problem.

While maybe 39K miles is a little early, the stock shocks don't last forever. Get up on the bumper and jump on it and step off. The front end should stabilize immediately with no bounce.

I know this has been posted awhile back, but I just put toyos on mine and same problem same speed. I have good shocks and suspension parts. I have replaced them all. Also I get serious sway from the back end when i jerk the wheel too.
