Thinking about putting some Mach's 4's in and upgrading to a HTB2 turbo. Is there a better injector for my application? I believe the turbo upgrade should be ideal for the bigger injectors and what I have.

That is a good setup. at "normal driving" the smoke is very reasonable. i got my setup from Olee Poole and he said that i should be between 400-430 HP. still looking for a dyno. my mileage has been 19. 5-20 on city driving with some highway miles figured by hand. well worth it, but injectors might take a while to get. i'm very pleased.

I use it as a daily driver. Tow on the weekends, but we are only talking about 2000lbs. I rarely see over 1300*(EGT) with my Comp on 5x5 right now; and that is only for a second. Towing on 3x3 I don't see much over 1100. Temps are pretty good, just figured going from a 80hp injector to a 150hp injector, I would need a little bigger wheel. The BG is a 57, the HTB2 would be a 62. Seems like I should be ok and close to the 480-500hp mark.

I can't say nothing bad about F1 injectors, but consider Industrial Injection injectors before purchasing. I have run 3 different sets of injectors from II & they have all been very impressive. I get no smoke at idle & smooth power all the way up... ... no smoke running down the road if I turn my box off & unload smarty. The idle & overall sound of my engine is unbelieveably smooth & I don't hear no rattling from the valvetrain..... almost sounds like a gasser!... . well almost.

I made 510hp with Mach 4's and a single turbo (35/40 hybrid). With Mach 4's and twins I made 565hp. This was with a drag comp. I have an HTT 62/14 as a top turbo on my twins, and it has worked very well for me.

A 62 turbo with 150hp injectors will get hot with a drag comp on 5x5. You can always turn the box down if it starts getting to hot.

Don M's Mach 4's are awesome injectors. I don't think you can do any better then the Mach injectors.

It has a lot to do with which 62 turbo you have. I have the silver 62 from II and just dynoed it last week with 155 hp injectors and a drag comp and it would only get to 1250-1300 max on the dyno. under hard pull situations with comp 3X3 smarty on 6 it only sees 1000-1100 at most.

I had some nice 150HP injectors from New Era Diesel. going back to 80 HP DD2's, my pdr35 is too small for the 150hp + any box.

The Ht would probablybe fine with the 4's, but if you go with anymore power... which we know WILL happen, I'd go with something that can take a little more hp. . maybe 550-580 range. Just hate to see you have to upgrade again to soon. Temps are very controlable with my SPS62 and the 4's and comp and smarty. You just can't go wrong with Don's sticks

I am very happy with my injectors and the service from DDP. The only way you can compare the two (DDP and F1's) is to run one set in your truck, stop, and then put the other set in. Now that's not being realistic , I know.

But you will get all sorts of responses saying F1's are the best, DDP's are the best... ... They are both great, what it comes down to is which ones are you most comfortable putting in your truck? Who has the best deal price wise? What HP/TQ level do you want to be at?

Good luck with your decision, I'm sure you'll be happy with either one.

ddp injectors

with stage 1 ddp injectors will i see a increase in mpg's and horsepower. i am running a afe stage 2 air system, superchips, and straight exhaust.

I had some 150HP new era diesels EDM. slightly more smoke than the mach 2 105HP injectors I have now. I would happily use either. I have a bigger turbo on order so I can turn up my box

This is how I figure out which way I want to go & it has worked great. I tow 15k#, want a running truck that will still sled pull 3 times a year, want least amount of smoke possible, but still be in the 500 club. I look at the opinions as they are posted, but also look at the location of the guys who post. Usually the guys who say "no egt problems" live in a state that is flat. I pull through the mountains of W. V & PA... . 5-8% grades that run miles long are of the norm out here. The Super turbos are a must for the heavy towing that I do. I actually had egt problems with a HTB2 62/12 & 62/14 because they would not build boost fast enough & I would get high egts before seeing 30psi boost. The cure was a Super Stock 62! Just my $. 02
