(Near Allentown, PA) Take Exit 14 Off Route I-78, then Route 100 South
Mack Trucks, Inc. will open the Macungie Assembly Operations for tours both days in celebration of Mack's Centennial. The Centennial Trailer, which depicts 100 years of Mack history, will be available for tours, along with a display of antique trucks. The Mack Shop will also be open throughout the weekend.
Admittance to the plant, Centennial Trailer, and Mack Shop via free bus transport from Macungie Memorial Park only. Round-trip bus service provided to/from Macungie Memorial Park from 10AM-3PM on Saturday and 10AM-2PM on Sunday.
Among the more than 300 famous makes represented at the Antique Truck Show will be Autocar, Brockway, Chevrolet, Diamond T, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Mack, REO, Studebaker, White, and many other not-so-well-known makes, like Acme, FWD, Kissell, Mascar, Nash and Sterling. Fire trucks are represented by American-Lafrance, Mack, Ward-Lafrance, Pirsch, and others. A large variety of styles such as tankers, flats, dumps, vans, buses, and a large assortment of over-the-road tractors and trailers are featured. Many pick-up trucks will be on display in one area for ease of looking and photographing.
The Truck-Related flea market is guaranteed to be bigger than ever this year with 350 spaces. A huge assortment of mechanical and trim parts are available at reasonable prices along with a selection of toys, T-shirts, caps, literature, and truck supplies of all kinds. There is also a truck corral featuring "Trucks For Sale. " A craft show and craft vendors will also be on the grounds.
Macungie Memorial Park also has a swimming pool, tennis court, ball diamond, many attractive food stands, and lots of shady, grassy areas ideal for picnicking. The level grassy park makes it ideal for handicapped individuals and families. Overnight camping sites (self-contained units only) are available for a small charge.
There is no admission charge to the Antique Truck Show for spectators.
