NHRA Fans: Texas race postponed (Hurricane Rita)

New York highway question

Just got the internet back up at my home. . and I am one of the lucky one's that have a home. . Here in Gulfport things are slowly getting back to normal. Just being able to log on to the TDR is another step toward normal.

Having just got back on the TDR site... 22K unread post are going to take a while. .

Many thanks to everyone for your concern, prayers and contributions.

Right after the storm we had 15 people staying here (at my house).

Here are some pics that were put together by a local TV station -

Local Katrina Pics

I'm sure most of you have seen way more pics and news coverage than we have down here being without power/cable tv etc. for weeks.

The devastation here is UN-REAL. . Picture do no justice. . My nephew works for MDOT and is working on highway 90 (on the beach). Sunday he took me down there in his work truck (the area is still off limits except to "official" personnel). For miles between Bay St. Louis and Biloxi there are only about 4 houses standing and they are gutted. It made me sick and I have no desire to go back down there for a while.

Anyway - I have some pics that I took and will post some later. .

Thanks again for eveyone's help and concern. .

Now lets pray for those in Rita's path. .
