I've made the perverbial switch from gas to diesel... . I have been converted!!!Scary thing since I know very little about the diesel engine! However, since I've been lurking around this site for the past several months prior to ordering my new diesel truck, I'm confident that with the knowledge you guys/gals have you'll be able to answer any questions I may have in the future. I've been doing the gas thing for years and just can't take the mileage hit anymore.

I just wanted to say Hi and also mention the excellent service, price and conversation from Tomeygun!! I ordered the truck on 9-22-05 and will have delivery on 11-21-05. Living in Houston, TX, the 4th largest city in the US you would have assumed they would have competivtive pricing..... Tomeygun beat them hands down!!!!!! Thanks Tom!!!!

Welcome. Congrat's on the new truck. Don't expect great milage until you've put on at least 10K. Keep us updated with how it handles and any pro's/con's.

How sure are they on the 11/21 delivery date? I ordered mine almost 30 days after you which would give me a delivery date of around 12/21. Sounds like I will be getting 1 hell of a Christmas present this year :)

Is yours in production yet?

Congrats on the new truck

12) Ford does not own Cummins

I have to disagree with you klenger, Ford does own Cummins. Also, my Cummins has sparkplugs, wires, a distributer, and Hemi glow plugs. Now please stop lying to the new guy!

Just kidding :D .

Klenger is 100% correct and welcome aboard.

TowPro:

According to Tomeygun, my truck was on the rail in Illinois on Monday, Nov. 1st and should arrive at his shop by this Friday, Nov. 4th. I'm making travel plans to pick it up on Monday, Nov. 21st. Tomeygum must have worked some of his magic!!!

P. S. Will my truck has spark plugs like my Jeep... check pics :) :) :) :) :)

Great. I guess it was made in St Louis then? Tommygun is down in NV somewhere I think? Is this a quad cab or maxi cab?

TowPro:

The truck I ordered is a MegaCab and was built/produced at DC's Mexico plant then railed into the US. Tomeygun is in St. Louis.

Welcome to the world of diesel, and kiss gas good bye, becuase you'll never want to go back... You don't have to spend $4,000 on a super charger to get a few extra ponies, just get a Bully Dog Power Pup and down load what you want when you want and get better MPG's. Diesel is the only way to go... .

Your gonna hop and and as soon as you hit the go pedal your going to kick your self right in the *** for not going down right now and pickiing it up. Trust me. I did the gas to diesel converson the end of July and was wondering why i waited for so long

12) There's no 'g' in Cummins

04. 5 3500 QC SRW LWB 4x4 600 w/48RE & 4. 10 Deep Molten Red Pearlcoat. Spark plug free since '93[/I

I like that "spark plug free since '93" I lost mine in May of '01

Congrats, nice rig,i converted from a dodge gasser(98-360) to the cummins in 2001. Wife said i looked really stressed towing our TT with the gasser, especially when it came to hills, now see says she can't get the smartass grin :-laf off my face when we tow and i get really excited when the hills are appraoching, kind of nice to be able to maintain the speed limit(a little bit more)when towing and still have power left to pass the slow pokes.
