Looking for some insight. Driving cross country and the truck ( 2500 6.7 4x4 ) is feeling sluggish. New fuel filters and oil change 1 month ago, new air filter 2 weeks ago. MAF is reading 1.5-1.6 lb/m idling and around 10.0 lb/m cruising at 70mph. Have gone through multiple tanks of fuel and use hot shots EDT at ever fuel up. Bought a second high flow air filter and installed today, it added a little pep but still feels pretty sluggish. any insight?

Any chance to read out codes? Sounds more like a VGT actuator problem to me.

What do you mean with high flow air filter?
There is no such filter available from Mopar, just the standard 4" pleat.

I too would suspect the turbo actuator.....just check the gauge to see if you are getting adequate boost when needed.

Don't throw anymore money away on air filters. You should put the stock one back in. There is no situation where a high flow solves a new problem that a new stock one didn't......and most high flow filters do not filter good enough.

Sounds good, you’ll have to forgive me, just learning all of this stuff. So on my monitor I’ve always had the VT CMD and VT POS listed and they have always been dead on, my exhaust break works well, generally always use it, and as boost goes, it’ll go from the 10’s - 20’s easily if I really need to step on it. Traveling I didn’t have an option for a Mopar air filter, so I generally always went with Wix, I then switched to a STP which didn’t completely eliminate the sluggishness, but definitely helped.

Also thank you for taking the time to help as well, super appreciative! Also forgot to mention isn’t throwing any codes and am still getting pretty good fuel economy.

You should see boost flash good above 30' at WOT.
If not there is something wrong, can be a boost leak. Just a tiny leak and boost breaks down.

Do you run a tuner?

yeah when at WOT I might get in to 20’s, and for example on just a normal city road, going 0-40 it might boost to about 8-9 psi total. And no tuning done, the only thing that’s ever really been added to modify anything is a Sonnax line pressure booster

I guess that wasn’t entirely true, just went and did a highway run to get some more accurate numbers. WOT on the entrance ramp got to around 29.5 psi boost and MAF around 48 LB/M
