Installing a Mag-Hytec trans pan today. In the instructions it says to install gasket and torque. I'm assuming no RTV is required, is this correct?

I have read about problems removing a filter gasket. Is it the gasket for the large non spin on filter? Also, that same large filter did not come with a gasket from Gino's. I call to see if it was an error and the tec I spoke to said to reuse the stock gasket and that they do not supply them. Is this the same for other that have ordered?

Just wanting to get my ducks in a row before starting the project.

Thanks

Mark

I am also in the process of servicing mine. I am not using the mag hytec though. Just installing a B&M drain plug with temp. Sensor. I think what you are referring to is the o ring that goes on your sump filter. I had a heck of a time removing my old one from the transmission once I removed the filter. Finally got it out. However, when I went to install the new one (it is supplied with the new filter from Genos) I tried to tap it up in place and damaged it! I thought oh crap! Called my local parts store and they had the filter in stock. Went and purchased it just to get the o ring. Filter was 14. 95! Half price of Genos. Aftermarket. Anyways, was a little more careful with the second one. I still have to install pan and refill. Will let everyone know how it turns out. Hopefully, uneventful!
