Is anyone having problems with their track bar zerk fitting hitting the front mag-hytec diff cover? If so is their a fix? Mine is getting the heck beat out of it. Someone told me about an inverted or female zerk grease fitting. I can't find one anywhere, they have never heard of one. I have 02, 2500, 4x4 stock height.

Help, Dave.

I looked in the Grainger catalog and there is a flush zerk listed. About $3. 00 each and you have to buy a pack of 10. I guess you need a needle nose tip also.

Do what Ilflem suggests, be sure to use an old tooth brush and cleaner to get the area around the zert ready for removal/insertion. Don't want to push in dirt while changing fitttings.

I installed a MagView front cover and the pitman arm came down and beat the heck out of the cover everytime I hit a decent sized bump or dip in the road. Had to go back to the stock cover

Now that I have a DT track bar, I can't even begin to use either my MagView or a Mag-Hytec front cover... unless I trade my 2 1/2" lift for a full 5" lift... ...

I replaced the straight (normal) style zerk on my track bar with a 90 degree zerk... works great!

The only place I've ever had to use the flush style zerks (which require a needle type grease tip) was on some special U-joints on a custom driveshaft. However, I may elect to use them if I change out all my U-joints in my rear driveshaft assembly... I prefer the lube entry point at the center of one of the caps as opposed to the center of the U-joint X (for strength reasons)... hence, the shorter profile is more appealing to me.

BTW, I purchased my flush style zerks (+ extras... :D ) from one of two driveshaft shops I used to frequent.
