Has anyone installed either a Mag-Hytec or a PML front cover on a 2007 2500 Quad cab. If so did you have to remove the driver side tie rod? If yes how much trouble is this?

I just installed a rear Mag-Hytec cover yesterday. Very easy install and it looks good. I mainly did it for the drain plug but the looks help.

I do not see much talk about front covers and am not sure why since they have the same drain interval as the rear differential.

Thanks,

Tom

I put one on my 04 (dont know if there the same or not) but I did not have any problems, it was a tight fit (i only have a leveling kit on mine) but I did not have to take anything part

I installed the front cover on my 06 also. Have a KORE leveling kit, tight fit but got it on without taking anything apart. I'm thinking that you should have the same axles, if so, should be OK.

I too did the front Mag cover and nothing had to come apart for the install. My only thing is the track bar hits the top of the cover on some hard bounces like going over speed bumps. I have often thought since owning this truck that the coil springs could be a little stiffer. I notched/grinded on the cover slightly per Mag-Hytec's recommendations and just take it easy over the larger speed bumps until I can get the cash together for the KORE leveling kit.
