Mag-Hytec install

Just ordered the Mag-Hytec diff cover and double deep transmission pan. Does the diff cover install on a 4X2 Dana 70 without any modifications?? (Is there enough room?)

It should fit, no problem, it will be about a half inch above the skid plate. Fine for the street, but be careful if you go offroading alot. I have yet to install mine.

I have a 4x4 so I can not answer your fitment question on the Maghytec Rear Diff cover. Let me take a peek in the archives see if there is anything.

Ok according to my research, a spacer is required on the Dana 80 4x2 trucks with a swaybar. I don't belive the Dana 70 requires one. Who did you order from? Did you tell them you had a 4x2 truck? A spacer is supposed to be included with the kit if ya require it.



What year and type of truck you have? Please list the particulars... ... .....

I ordered the mag-hytec diff cover from woodlawnrv.com @ $205.

I have a Y2K automatic. See signature below. I was hoping that I don't need the spacers. Thanks for any info you can provide.

I found the answer to my question in the Geno's catalog. The Dana 80 with factory-installed sway bar require spacers for the Mag-Hytec Diff cover and will be supplied. The Dana 70 fits with no problem.



I ordered Autometer qauges from Geno's ( EGT, Boost, transmission temp) and they could only ship the transmission temp. They are back ordered on other gauges. I called four other suppliers and all had the same story. It seems there is a run on Autometer qauges and they can not keep up with the demand. It will be two to four weeks before I see the other gauges. By the way, I ordered from Geno's two days ago and the transmission temp qauge, and A-piller arrived today. They have fantastic service.
