Getting ready to change fluid and filter on the little truck. Need to know if I use a Mopar pan gasket p/n #2464324-AC (black thick platic one with the orings) will the bolts that came with the Mag-Hytec DD trans pan be long enough?? If not does anyone have a idea or do Ihave to fishing in the hardware store tomorrow?

keep on trucking!

No, you just need to make sure the surface is clean. I would put a little oil on the o-ring before I mount it. All I did was clean the surface and let the o-ring do its job. Never had a leak!:D The bolts that come with the aftermarket pan is long enough. Just make sure you torque them.

torque the bolts to:

5/16-18 zinc plated allen head cap screws (Torque 12-16 ft. Ibis)

Just put my Mag-Hytec DD trans pan on last weekend. USE THE GASKET THAT COMES WITH THE MAG-HYTEC PAN!

BTW - There is NO o-ring for the trans pan, only the differential cover. If you don't have the gasket, you can order one from Mag-Hytec. No leaks at all.

Oh my gosh... . your right, your right. I am terribly wrong. :(

My apologies!!!!

I was thinking of the rear dif. pan.

So far so good

Well guys,

I had three of the "new" mother mopar hard plastic / o-ring gaskets p/n 2464324-AC and only one the gaskets that mag-ytec sells SO I used a new style one from mopar. Cleaned pan sealing area VERY WELL and torqued to 16 Ft Lbs. NO LEAKS AS OF YET

(300 miles)!! It will probaly leak tomorrow no that I think about it.

Will have to get to NAPA just in case. Anyone have p/n for the better gasket/ filter setup??

Mike

Oo.

NAPA part number ATP 1-4430 for the gasket only. On the others that leaked, I think they started right away, so you may be good.
