For those who may want to know.
The Mac-Hytec Dana-80 cover is unreal. It is the best made, best fit, most direct instructions of any product I have ever bought for a vehicle. I have installed other products on my truck and have had to adjust for weeks to get them right. This was right the first time. No drips , no nothing. It worked just like the paper said. Am I excited? A little! Was it simple? Yes , but I'm still overjoyed.
What' next? The by-pass oil filter. It don't look so easy but hear goes.

This is a candidate for the "Products" forum. I'm giving it a nice smooth glide across the electron sea to that forum.

I asked the same thing...

The response was that there just wasn't enough room to fit one...

I wanted to do both front and rear at the same time. but it looks like a no-go.

I have seen a Dodge Crome cover that fits. . If that helps.

Larry

Be carefull about using a chrome diff cover, chrome insulated and will hold in heat. That's why Mag-Hytec uses an aluminum cover. It disperses heat and helps the rear end run cooler.

Amen on the Chromed heat! Polished, chrome serfaces don't have enough serface area to disipate heat. Keep the rough finished stock front cover, and paint it flat black to pull heat through the cover and into the air * * * *

Does anyone know if the Mag-Hytec Dana 70 cover will fit if I have the factory camper package rear sway bar installed?

Hammong,

It will fit with no problem. Some models need to add spacers to the sway bars but not
yours. Roy at MAG-HYTEC has had machine shop
for many years and builds only quality stuff.

If you talk to him 877-786-6816 ask him how he likes the Active Suspension kit on his
truck.

Anyone know if there is a front cover available for the 4x4's?
Per Roy at Mag-Hytec: "The front covers will be out around the beginning of the year. "

Yes, it will fit no problem. Only the 2WD 3500's require a spacer kit for the anti-swaybar.

Here's a copy of a email I sent to Hytec:

Will your Hytec cover fit the Dana 70 on my 1995 Dodge Ram 2500, 4x4, diesel, club cab, with a add on Hellwig rear sway bar? Thanks,

Reply from Hytec:

Hello;
I don't think it will fit. Hellwig has one of our covers and are planing on changing the sway bar so it will work I have not heard if they have it yet.
Thanks for the E-mail
Roy @ Mag-Hytec

If anyone has actually installed the Hytec on a Dana 70 with the Hellwig I would like to hear from them.

Mag-Hytec is one of the best accessory firms around. Great products and Roy will give you lots of advice if you are in the LA area and stop by their shop in the SF Valley. Everyone I've recommended their products to has been happy as a grizzly bear with a week old moose kill.

I'll just further add to the kudos by saying that Mag-Hytec products are among the highest quality aftermarket automotive parts I have ever seen anywhere. They do a lot of aerospace machining work, and the quality shows. They are worth every penny.
